EPRA

European Public Real Estate Association. It represents financial analysts, investors, auditors and consultants in addition to companies.

EPRA’s mission and goals

EPRA’s main objective is to expand the understanding of alternative investment forms in listed property companies in Europe. Statistics and data from listed property companies form the basis of the wide range of analysis and research activities that EPRA performs both independently and in cooperation with various educational institutions.

EPRA Best Practice Recommendations

In the field of financial reporting, one of EPRA’s goals is to develop uniform valuation and reporting rules within the European property sector. It supports the process of introducing comprehensive performance indicators that are incorporated into the EPRA Best Practice Recommendations (BPR). The Best Practice Recommendations are a key pillar for financial reporting and, at the same time, the driving force for steadily increasing the transparency of (financial) capital market reporting by property companies.

Based on their annual report, EPRA – in cooperation with a major audit firm – awards property companies gold, silver or bronze Best Practice Awards.

HAMBORNER REIT AG is guided by the Best Practice Recommendations and has received the gold award several times in recent years.

A detailed calculation of all EPRA indicators at HAMBORNER can be found in our latest annual report under “Transparent EPRA reporting”.
