HAMBORNER REIT AG - Another Property Acquired
Duisburg, 15 December 2010 - HAMBORNER REIT AG has managed to acquire another property before the end of the year and hence continue its growth according to plan. The 'Campus Röthelheimpark' shopping, service and office centre is located in the East of Erlangen. The building complex has around 11,500m² of floor space on a site area of around 10,700m², and will be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2011. Transfer of ownership is expected in mid 2011. The overall investment volume is approx. EUR 28 million and the gross initial yield is approx. 6.9 %. The tenants include a tax consultancy, a consultancy specialised in health, a hypermarket, an organic supermarket, a drugstore, a pharmacy as well as a restaurant and a savings bank branch. This means that within a year HAMBORNER has acquired two properties in Erlangen, a location with outstanding underlying economic infrastructure and constant growth. This underlines the company's strategy of concentrating on German regions with strong economic growth and diversifying its portfolio - in particular also in the Southern part of Germany.
As in the case of the property Atrium, which was acquired a year ago, the developer and seller of this real estate is Sontowski & Partner GmbH from Erlangen.
HAMBORNER REIT AG plans to continue expanding its retail and office property asset classes. Since the beginning of the year HAMBORNER has been able to invest approx. EUR 150 million in new attractive real estate, and around 40 % of this has been transferred. The successfully placed increase in capital in October also represents a solid basis for current and future growth. As announced, this year through these latest acquisitions we have already been able to profitably invest a sizeable amount of the EUR 76 million net issuing proceeds in attractive property.
