HAMBORNER REIT AG starts new year with portfolio growth
Duisburg, 3 January 2017 - HAMBORNER REIT AG has made a successful start to the 2017 financial year with the transfer of two additional properties. The "DOMI" high street building in Dortmund (31 December 2016) and the "O3" office property in Cologne (2 January 2017) were transferred to the HAMBORNER portfolio at the turn of the year.
"In 'DOMI' and 'O³', we have acquired two high-quality, modern properties that comply with our acquisition strategy and optimally complement our portfolio. We were convinced of the quality of the properties, the tenant structure, the letting situation and, not least, the attractiveness of the locations. We are delighted that the conditions for transfer were quickly established and that both properties will now contribute to our rental income and FFO for the whole of 2017," commented the members of HAMBORNER's Managing Board Dr Rüdiger Mrotzek and Hans Richard Schmitz.
The purchase agreement for the "DOMI" high street building in the centre of Dortmund was notarised in late September 2016. The purchase price is EUR30.8 million and the annual rental income is EUR1.6 million. The purchase agreement for the "O3" in Cologne was signed in late November 2016. The property with an investment volume of EUR49.0 million has now been transferred to the company slightly earlier than anticipated. HAMBORNER will generate annual rental income of around EUR2.8 million from the 26,500 square metres of rental space.
