“Every one of our employees should benefit from our staff development initiatives” Interview with

Sandra Fischer

Human Resources / Insurance Officer

Ms Fischer, how big is HAMBORNER REIT AG, and what can you tell us about where it is located?

We employ almost fifty people. The company is based in Duisburg’s Hamborn district where we have a state-of-the-art office building with excellent public transport connections. Hamborn’s marketplace, with its cafés, restaurants and shops, is just a 10-minute walk away. You can spend a relaxing lunch break there. Our building has a social room for break times as well. Nearby we also have shops for food or personal and household goods where we can get some shopping done when we have a break. In addition there is always plenty of free parking on and around the company’s premises.

What can you offer aside from that?

In today’s world of work, your relationship with your employer is primarily defined by the experiences people have of where they work. Work is ultimately about people. We offer our employees an informal and harmonious work environment, an open communication culture and the chance to advance your career and contribute your own ideas. And let’s not forget, attractive employee events where we can spend time talking about anything in a relaxed atmosphere.

Do you have a works council?

Yes. The communication and cooperation with the Works Council is always highly constructive and defined by mutual respect. That benefits the employees as well as the company.
